St. Paul’s United Church
Our Mission: Glorifying God through Worship, Proclaiming the Gospel of Christ and Serving Others in Christ’s name.
From the Worship Committee…
It’s the lazy, hazy days of summer (with the exception of this week lol) and your Worship Committee has been a bit lazy and hazy but certainly not inactive! Since the annual report we have worked hard with Reverend Michelle to make sure the Downtown United Services go smoothly while she is on Sabbatical. You should all have a schedule for the services but if not, please contact the office and I will see that you get on. We wish her well and look forward to some exciting new ideas when she returns to us. Most of our Fall kickoff has been planned and we all look forward to the BBQ and backpack blessing service.
Our hard working and very busy leader, Roger Miller, has asked me (Debbie West) to represent him on the Joint Worship Committee meetings comprised of St. Paul’s, Wilmot and Nashwaaksis United Churches to discuss how we can collaborate and help each other with ideas that make all our efforts easier and our services exciting in the future. I’ve only attended one meeting but ideas were free flowing and well worthy of consideration. I’m looking forward to more meetings in the Fall. Have a blessed summer and I look forward to seeing many of you at the joint services this Summer.

The church needs your support throughout the year.
St. Paul’s Summer Fundraising
Over the coming summer months, we hope that St. Paul’s will be close to your heart, even if you are away traveling or enjoying some cottage time. For the next 3 months, we would like to highlight certain committees within the Church that generally require “extra” attention. In June, please think about the Property Committee, in July – The Pantry, and in August, when it can be very warm, consider the Boiler! In the Bulletin each month, a special envelope will be inserted, giving you an opportunity to contribute to that committee. The life and work of St. Paul’s is ongoing. We hope you will remain an important part of the Church Family.
Brown Bag Lunch Program
This week, the program is in desperate need of proteins with flip top lids. Thank you for your continued support and generosity of this program.
Pantry Program
The Pantry program needs the following items: tooth brushes, paper towel, laundry & dish soap, tissues, toilet paper, cookies, large juice, apple sauce, pudding, canned fruit, canned beans, canned peas, macaroni, canned tomatoes, Stove Top, peanut butter, chicken noodle soup, ham flakes, turkey flakes, canned brown beans, juice boxes, soda crackers and salt. Thank you for your continued support!

Sunday School in Fall
We are trying something new, asking for people to committee not for the whole year but for one three-week Unit. The Fall themes are God Creates Family, Responding to God’s love, God’s way of Leading, Our sin, God’s Faithfulness, and Promises Made, and Promises Kept. We are looking for leaders to help share the love of God with your youngest congregation members. All serving in the Sunday School will need to provide a valid vulnerable sector police record check. If one of these themes piqued your interest or you want to help our children grow please contact Erin Hayes at hayes.erin11@gmail.com
