As we reach the midpoint of Summer, we also reach the midpoint of our worship sharing with our brothers and sisters of Wilmot United Church.
Beginning on August 2nd (this Sunday) at 10:30 a.m., we will be worship together here at St. Paul’s United until the end of August. Through this month of shared worship experience there will also be shared leadership similar to what took place at Wilmot. Primarily presiding over the services will be either myself, Rev. Richard Bowley, or Rev. Rose-Hannah Gaskin. As with services at Wilmot, we will have clergy from both churches participating in the worship either through prayers or offering the Time for all ages.
On August 23rd, we will be sharing not just worship but also communion with our Wilmot brothers and sisters. Truly a united feast! Our hope is that all three ministers from the two churches will take part in that very special meal.
On August 30th, we will be having a hymn-sing Sunday, ensuring that our shared summer ends the right way: in song!
Please come out and share in this wonderful shared worship experience!
In other news at St. Paul’s, though we will endeavor to keep the Wednesday morning play group going through August (we’ve had interest for it every week) I am sad to say that this week on July 29th, we will not be having the Wednesday morning playgroup. We will be back the following week on August 5th and hopefully for the rest of the summer and into the school year.
To ensure that you keep up with all the goings-on at St. Paul’s United Church, please feel free to Subscribe and get news right away. Along the right hand side of this page there should be a box for your email address right under the words, “Subscribe Now!”
Blessings on you and your week!
