Summer greetings all!

As we make our way into the busyness of the summer months, there are a few things I’d like to ask you to slow down for and a few things to remember.

First of all, before you hit the road for whatever adventure awaits you this summer, join us on June 19th for Father’s Day! In the morning at 10:30 AM we gather for our regular worship time to celebrate the fathers in our lives. Some are by blood and some are by deed, and some have passed on from this world and yet live on in our hearts, but it is important to remember the men who guide, mentor, and raise us.

Normally following the worship service we would gather in the Fraser Memorial Hall for Coffee & Conversation. This week, however, we ask that you join us immediately following the service at Wilmot Park at the Stepping Stones center. From 12-3 we will be having a BBQ, games for the young and the young at heart, and fellowship for us all. Come as you are, and bring the kids, friends, and anyone who might want to share in this time of community.

Now though you may find yourself on the road this summer, when you are in town between adventures, come and join us in worship! For the months of July and August we join with our brothers and sisters of Wilmot United Church to become Downtown United! From June 26th to July 24th we will be gather at Wilmot United Church on the corner of King and Carlton Streets. Worship begins at its regular time of 10:30 AM. From July 31st to August 28th we are back at St. Paul’s (continuing Downtown United) again with worship beginning at 10:30 AM.

Contrary to popular belief, St. Paul’s office will not be closed during the time we are at Wilmot. Other than a week here and there, Cathy will still be smiling from behind the desk, Joe will still be caring for our church, and both Pastor Sarah and Rev. Richard will be carrying on the work of Ministry just like any other month (it’s just warmer in the office).

If you do plan on being away for large chunks of the summer, we hope you have an amazing time and consider donating either through PAR or post-dated cheque to support the continued work of your church through these summer months. Your support, care, and passion for God make us a treasured part of the body of Christ in this place.

And finally, one great thing about the internet is that you can keep up with what is going on at St. Paul’s while you are on the road this summer. Subscribe with your email below, and done miss a thing!
