Michelle Armstrong, Minister
The Reverend Michelle Armstrong was ordained in the United Church of Canada in 2013 by Alberta Northwest Conference. While being baptized as baby, she first became active in the church through campus ministry while attending the University of Calgary during her undergraduate degree. Despite coming later to ministry Rev. Michelle has served the church in a variety of ways including as a youth minister in Alberta, covering a sabbatical for a hospital chaplain in Nova Scotia and serving as minister in Nova Scotia and Saskatchewan.
Within her ministry Rev. Michelle has expressed passion for faith growth and development for ALL ages, ensuring congregations create space for everyone especially children and youth and thought provoking worship. She likes wrestling with questions and helping others uncover ways to use the gifts that God has given them.
Outside of the church Rev. Michelle enjoys camping, geo-cashing and playing board games with her husband Mike and children Reid and Ella
Dr. Sharon Pond, Organist & Choir Director
Dr. Sharon Pond, a native of Fredericton, New Brunswick, has a doctorate in Forest Biology from the University of Victoria and is a retired Tissue Culture Research Biologist for the Canadian Forest Service.
She is an active recital organist, accompanist, choir director and church organist. Dr. Pond was a featured recitalist for the RCCO convention in Saint John in 2012, and has given recitals in Toronto, ON; Kingston, ON; Halifax, NS; Charlottetown and Tignish, PE; Fredericton and Saint John, NB; and Portland ME, and Oxford, UK; was accompanist for the Diocese of Fredericton Choir School and the NB Choral Federation Spring Choral Fest; Associate and Interim Organist at Christ Church Cathedral and is currently Organist at St. Paul’s United Church in Fredericton.
