Greetings Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
The Church in action is an amazing thing, people with different gifts, skills and experiences working together for the glory of God. Hands reaching, words of hope and life being shared, people growing in faith and joy, this is what St. Paul’s at its best offers as we seek to follow Jesus together. So here is a question for you – how do you engage in the amazing life in Christ that we share here? And how do you express and acknowledge the home you have found at St. Paul’s? Membership at St. Paul’s is one way to show you commitment to the work of Christ which we are engaged in. If you are not a member and would like to change that Contact Rev. Michelle, Rev. Richard or Pastor Sarah today! We are going to be accepting new members into our fellowship on December 16th – Joy Sunday.
Speaking of our fellowship Dr. Sharon Pond and the Vocal Collective will be in New Glasgow this weekend celebrating the 100th anniversary of Trinity United Church. Sharon and the Vocal Collective will be participating in the morning services. In the afternoon, Sharon will be presenting an organ recital for the rededication of the newly refurbished 1930 Casavant organ. Let us keep them in prayers as they share their gifts with the wider church and travel this weekend.
Let us turn to the life and work around St. Paul’s with thanksgiving for all the opportunities to experience communion with fellow followers and grow in our faith.

Moving toward Sunday we hear the call of the Prophet Isaiah (36:1-3, 13-20; 37:1-7 and 2:1-4) to continue to put our trust in the Lord, and proclaim to whom we belong and boldly let this truth shine into the world. In the life of the church and in the climate of the world, this can feel as dangerous as standing up to the Assyrian army, and yet this is the call to us today too. See you Sunday as we explore and expand on Isaiah’s call to visibly shine Christ’s light in our lives.
Let us pray,
God as we sit with expectancy in the cold for the snow that is to come,
we seek the warmth of your presence and the assurance of your safety.
As we experience the joy and comfort of your presence,
let us not neglect the stirring in our hearts when we know we are yours,
that stirring to share your love and light, to live a life made new.
As we sit and wait, Loving God call to us again,
in the dance of snowflakes, and the warmth of fires burning,
In the time made when regular activities stop may we hear your still small voice.
Amen.
