Covid Procedure Update – September 22nd, 2022
The board discussed our COVID protocols, weighing the information from public health, current COVID levels, and feedback received from congregation. As a congregation, we have a shared responsibility to each other. To date we have used the most protective option when dealing with sanctuary and church building.
As we start to move to COVID being an endemic disease, the board felt it was time to take a small step towards loosening restrictions. As of this coming Sunday, people are asked to wear masks while moving around the sanctuary/church building, when singing and when social distancing cannot be maintained. Masks may be removed when sitting in your pew and while eating and drinking in the hall. Church meetings where distancing cannot be maintained or where there is poor ventilation, masks will still be required.
Should the community COVID situation change drastically, the new policy for masks is not being followed, or public health recommendations change, this decision will be re-evaluated. Please note that public health it is still recommending wearing a mask in public indoors and when social distancing cannot be maintained, to reduce your chances of getting COVID.
Covid-19 Update – March 14th, 2022
While the mandatory orders have ended in New Brunswick, we are taking a conservative approach to reopening. To attend St. Paul’s in-person and during worship services, we will no longer require you to show proof of vaccination. However given that we have the responsibility to care for each other and many of our congregants being in higher risk categories the following COVID protocols will still be required:
- – Wearing a mask at all times during worship and whenever in a group settings.
- – Sanitizing one’s hands upon entry
- – Sitting in the marked pews to maintain distance
- – Being aware of social distancing when entering and leaving building
- – Virtual engagement options will still be available for church activities
We will be offering a coffee time for those who are interested after worship, at this the following protocols will be in effect:
- – Servers will pour coffee or tea for and add sugar and milk
- – Snacks will be served (no buffet style)
- – Participants are to be seated at tables maintaining social distancing
- – Masks must remain on while not eating or drinking
Community user groups and renters are asked to follow the above protocols.

Update September 25, 2021
There’ s a saying “don’t like the weather wait 5 min and it will change” well the same is true in the storm of Covid. With the emergency order being brought into effect at midnight our last Covid update is null and void. Please note that we will now be requiring proof of vaccination for access to in-person services, those unvaccinated can still participate over zoom or through the recording on youtube. Masks will still be required when accessing any church space and we are asking people to still be mindful of social distancing between family bubbles.

Updated: September 8, 2021
Greetings,
Our board met last week, August 29th 2021, to discuss our GREEN PHASE protocols and a full document will be available on the website shortly. Guiding our decisions was the faith stance that we are called to care for the last and the least among us, in this case it means creating an environment that is as safe as possible for our children and those who are immune comprised.
