Worship This Sunday July 9th

Please join Rev. Darryl for service at Wilmot at 10:30am on July 9th, 2023

Welcome To Our Summer Students!

St. Paul’s extends a warm welcome to our summer students! If you are around the church, please stop in and say hi!

Hi, my name is Zosia! (Pronounced ZO-sha). I graduated from Ecole Sainte-Anne in June and will be attending UNB in the fall. In my free time, I read, garden, crochet, and take care of my 6 siblings.  I’ll be at the front desk helping Meghan out with administration this summer.

Hi, I’m Logan and I’m a student at Leo Hayes High School and personality wise, I am a nerd. This summer I will be helping out with grounds maintenance.

Meghan away until July 11th

Meghan will be out of town from Thursday July 6th to Tuesday, July 11th. Zosia will be taking over at the office during this time (stop by and say hi!).

St. Paul’s Member’s Art Added to Provincial Collection

The province’s art collection, collectionArtNB, has added 23 works of visual art – including a piece by St. Paul’s member, Ralph Simpson.

Established in 1968, collectionArtNB is a permanent collection totaling nearly 1,000 works of art. Every two years, artworks by contemporary New Brunswick artists are purchased for the collection; this is in addition to art commissioned as part of the construction of any new government building through the New Brunswick Public Art Policy. The new acquisitions are expected to be formally presented this fall before touring the province for the public to enjoy.

In his work, Ralph “combines his deep respect and study of traditional weaving techniques with his own innovations. He enjoys utilizing a wide variety of materials and techniques as part of his artistic practice of creating work that focuses on form, process, and materiality.”

His artwork “Rose Hip” was selected for collectionArtNB. [Source: https://plantfibreartist.com/work]

St. Paul’s Summer Appeals

Over the summer, we hope you are keeping St. Paul’s will be close to your heart, even if you are away traveling or enjoying some cottage time. In July, please think about the Pantry, which really requires “extra” attention. In August, when it can be very warm, consider the Boiler! In the Bulletin, a special envelope will be inserted, giving you an opportunity to contribute to that committee. The life and work of St. Paul’s is ongoing. We hope you will remain an important part of the Church Family.

Back-To-School Backpacks

St. Paul’s serves many school aged children and youth through our church outreach programs. We will be collecting donations of school supplies in an effort to provide for those who can’t otherwise purchase these necessities. Required items include: back packs, lunch kits, reusable water bottles, lined paper, coil note books, large zippered binders, dividers, pencil case, markers, pens, pencils, scissors, glue, rulers, math set, etc. If you would like to donate items to support these families, please reach out to Meghan in the church office. Items can be dropped off to the office Monday – Friday between 8am and 3pm. A donation tax receipt will be issued for items with a receipt. Cash donations are also welcome. Collection will take place until August 11th and then distributed mid-August. If you know of someone in need of school supplies, please let Meghan know so they can be added to the list.
